How to design a useful privacy testing programme.
Start with one authorised customer journey and a question you can observe. Keep the legal standard with your privacy team or advisers and use RetailHawk to structure the test, evidence and review.
Build the programme around observable evidence.
1. Write the test question
Define the journey, channel, starting state and the observable facts the assessor must record. Avoid asking the assessor to reach a legal conclusion.
2. Decide what counts as evidence
Use structured questionnaire answers with supported screenshots, photographs or PDF correspondence where the programme requires them. Capture only what the authorised test needs.
3. Separate fieldwork from review
The assessor records what happened. A separate reviewer checks whether the submission is complete and supported before the result is released.
4. Plan repeat tests
Keep the questionnaire version, scenario and evidence requirements stable when you need to compare journeys or test a change again.
Keep the conclusion proportional to the evidence.
RetailHawk is a testing and evidence workflow. It does not provide legal advice, determine UK GDPR/PECR compliance or replace your privacy advisers.
